Children are GREAT teachers.
We received this wonderful story from a teacher in Oklahoma.
“We had an amazing Bal-A-Vis-X experience this week! I had a third grade student in my room who was very upset attempting to calm down. A kindergarten student was having a problem in the hallway and another teacher asked if he could come in with me. I quickly asked my 3rd grader if he would help me do an exercise with the other student. He went through several single sand bag exercises with the other child. It was mind blowing to watch as he silently showed the other student how he wanted him to stand then decided standing was not working so they sat cross legged and worked. This often volatile student was so calm and gentle with the other child. After they finished the exercises, he was tying the smaller child’s shoe and said, “I like the way you fixed your problem just then.” He took the other child back to class. When he returned, we had a wonderful conversation about how he was mentoring the younger child. He stated that he would like to do it again. It was so great to see his esteem rise! It was an amazing moment. I had tears in my eyes watching! Thanks for sharing this awesome program!”
And this is why we do what we do.
The Norman Public Schools in Okalahoma have trained over 100 teachers in the Bal-A-Vis-X programme, which is on going…
